Westminster City School is pleased to share that the school has been placed in the top 10 comprehensive schools in the country for percentage of a year group taking and passing GCSE Music.

Headteacher, Mr Broughton said:

“Congratulations to the entire Music department at Westminster City School for this incredible achievement. This is a real testament to the work of the amazing team which deserves to be recognised and celebrated by the entire Westminster City School community and beyond.”

Mr Cecile, Director of Music added:

“I am extremely happy about what we have been able to achieve thus far. It is certainly a team effort, from the classroom teachers to the peripatetic teachers and we hope for further success in the upcoming GCSE cohort of students who continue to work hard and always strive for excellence.

“The students’ eagerness, enthusiasm to learn and progress in music makes it a delight for us to consistently teach at a high level and achieve the aims of our department. Alongside academic success, these students have also grasped hold of our extra-curricular provisions and performances throughout the year which has helped in contributing to their development.

“We are very proud of them for what they have achieved and what they will go on to achieve in the future.”
