Year 8 Poetry Slam Event
On Tuesday 12 March, after two terms of fun and inspiring drama and poetry workshops with Eastside Spoken Word 'Hear My Voice', a select group of Year 8 students went to a poetry slam event at the Criterion Theatre! This was an incredible opportunity for students to perform their amazing poems and put into practice the skills they have learnt.
Mr Myge, English and Drama Teacher at Westminster City School commented saying:
"Despite the pouring rain on the day of the event, students remained optimistic and the group's poem titled 'I'll pass it to my bros' was received with excitement and great appreciation from the other participating schools in the audience.
Please join me in congratulating the following students; Reynolds, Ethan, Romaine and Zakaria on an outstanding performance, and Imran, Anujan, Neil, Levi's and Zen for supporting their peers with enthusiasm."
