BackWestminster City School Musical Christmas
The Westminster City School Choir have been unstoppable over the past few days with a busy scheduled filled with musical performances at Raffles London at The OWO-5 Star Luxury Hotel in London and Victoria Station where they performed for The Passage charity. They even outdid themselves at the school's annual Carol's Service held at St Margaret's Church on Thursday 19 December where they delivered melodious performances.
Miss Chan, Teacher of Music and KS3 Music Lead at Westminster City School, said:
"I am extremely proud of our talented choir, who have delivered exceptional performances at the Raffles Hotel during the OWO event last week Friday, this week at Victoria Station for The Passage charity and at our Carol Service. Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, consistently exceeding expectations with each performance. We have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from bystanders, a testament to their commitment and passion. It is a privilege to witness such growth and excellence in our students."
Year 7 student, Tom, who is a part of the choir said:
"Our recent performances were amazing. It was great that we were able to sing all of the songs because we practiced really hard during countless rehearsals. Lots of people clapped for us which showed that they enjoyed and appreciated what they heard."
Ezana, who is in Year 11 at Westminster City School, added:
"To be a part of the Westminster City School Choir is great. Performing on a regular basis, especially at prestigious locations, widens my range of experiences. As an aspiring professional singer, I truly treasure these opportunities and I hope that I get the chance to experience many more."
Chiedozie, who is also in Year 11 at Westminster City School, said:
"There is something special about the school choir, everyone contributes towards the unity in their own way and it feels like a family. Personally, I think this stood out tremendously in our performances over the past few days which was truly a great experience."
Community and Events Fundraising Manager, Anna, who works at The Passage, commented:
"I would like to send my thanks to the Westminster City School Choir for their incredible support at Victoria Station. The students did a fantastic job, and their performance really attracted a lot of attention to our collection station, helping to raise awareness about The Passage and encouraging more people to contribute to our cause.
"I am happy to share that we raised a total of £3,466.78, which is an incredible achievement. This generous amount will go a long way in helping us provide essential welfare and support to the hundreds of people who rely on our services each week."
