BackPrestigious Opportunities for Jesaiah
Congratulations to Jesaiah who is in Year 12 at Westminster City School’s Sixth Form on securing a number of prestigious opportunities, including The Amos Bursary and work experience with Bloomberg. Jesaiah is currently studying A Level Economics, Mathematics and Geography with the prospect of working in the Finance sector in the future.
When asked about what he is looking forward to the most from both opportunities, Jesaiah said:
“I am really thankful for the chance I have been given to do work experience at Bloomberg for a few days during the February half term. I look forward to meeting the staff, seeing their amazing office in London and most importantly, being able to speak to different departments about their roles and learning more about what is involved.
“The experience in its entirety will be a truly memorable one for me because of my interest in financial data.”
Bloomberg is the world’s main distributor of financial data and a popular news provider of the 21st century. The company specialises in financial data, analysis, software engineer, as well as machine learning with locations in New York, London and Tokyo.
Jesaiah also spoke about The Amos Bursary and how this will benefit him saying:
“Additionally, being an Amos Bursary student will allow me to be exposed to various in-person seminars, workshops, conferences, mentorship, financial support and other opportunities which will provide me with the help needed for the next steps of my life. It will allow me to be fully prepared more than ever.”
The Amos Bursary is a registered charity that provides personal and professional development to British young people of African and Caribbean heritage to excel in education and beyond. The charity works closely with universities and organisations to increase the opportunities they offer to young people and give employers the exceptional diverse workforce they require.
