Well done and congratulations to Year 12 student at Westminster City School, Kieron, who has been accepted to join the prestigious Amos Bursary Programme. The Amos Bursary ensures that talented young people of African and Caribbean descent have the opportunity to excel in education and beyond.

Kieron first heard about the Amos Bursary through Westminster City School and became interested in their mission to support Britain’s talented young people of African and Caribbean heritage. After doing further research into the Amos Bursary, Kieron was moved by their commitment to personal and professional development, as well as providing opportunities for young black people.

Commenting on how he feels to be a part of the Amos Bursary Programme, Kieron said:

“Securing a place on the Amos Bursary Programme is both an incredible and empowering experience, it feels amazing to see that all my hard work, passion, and determination is starting to meet with success. It also comes with a great sense of appreciation, knowing that I am now part of a driven community dedicated to making a positive impact, and knowing that I now have access to mentorship, essential tools, and unique opportunities that will greatly help me to thrive in both my academic and professional journey.

“Through the Amos Bursary Programme, I hope to gain key skills to improve my employability, leadership capabilities, and overall personal growth through the skill development workshops that the Amos Bursary runs for students.

“I also hope to gain personalised guidance and advice that is structured around my academic and career goals, as well as gain insightful knowledge of the tech industry so that I can navigate the challenges of the world of tech and work more effectively.”
