On Thursday 23 January, ten students from Westminster City School had the unique opportunity to visit a bustling construction site in Victoria, thanks to the generous invitation of RED Construction Group Ltd, a specialist main contractor company. The educational field trip allowed students to step out of the classroom and into the heart of a real-world construction project, providing them with valuable exposure to the industry.

During their visit, students had the chance to interact with construction workers, asking questions about their roles and responsibilities. They also learned about the various safety measures implemented on-site to ensure the well-being of everyone involved in the project. The students were particularly interested in discovering the wide range of trades and roles within the construction field, from site management to technical expertise.

The experience sparked enthusiasm and curiosity among the students, many of whom expressed newfound interest in exploring potential career paths in construction. The visit provided an eye-opening look into the complexities of the industry, highlighting the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the field.
