BackSTEM Futures Programme Achievements
Congratulations to Year 13 student at Westminster City School, Oluwaseun, who has excelled in his achievements on the STEM Futures Programme at Imperial College London. He has been taking part in the STEM Futures Programme, which is a multi-year programme of activities and support for students of Black heritage who are interested in STEM. The programme has been developed to allow participants to discover a wide range of subjects within STEM studies and to support them with their university application.
The STEM Futures team shared some excellent feedback saying:
"Oluwaseun has been a great asset to the programme and an excellent representative of Westminster City School. He is a fantastic student and we absolutely loved working with him over the last year. We have no doubt that he will go on to do great things in the future."
Additionally, Oluwaseun has been recognised by the STEM Futures team as 'a star student during the Bush Theatre Workshop, who pushes himself during challenging personal development workshops, a confident speaker who delivers great presentations and is an active participant during sessions'.
Commenting on his involvement in the programme, Oluwaseun, said:
"Being a part of the STEM Futures Programme has been extremely helpful and beneficial for me now and I know that everything I have learnt and experienced thus far will help me in the future.
"I have developed specific qualities that will help me to prepare for interviews and most important importantly, I have experienced specific situations which has encouraged me to come out of my comfort zone."
