BackRepresentatives from Church of England Education Office
On Friday 19 May, the Religious Studies department at Westminster City School had the pleasure of hosting a joint collaboration workshop with representatives from the Church of England Education Office, Bola-Alysia Ayonrinde, Simon Atkinson, NATRE, Adam Robertson, Religious Education and SIAMs inspector for the Diocese of Lincoln, Gillian Georgui, and Cherish Bere from St Saviour's and St Olave's.
It was a phenomenal and inspirational session discussing developments and changes to the KS3 Religious Studies curriculum at Westminster City School, showcasing the incredible work being done to ensure a more inclusive curriculum for all students with further depth in the content covered.
The department are certainly at the forefront of these changes, creating and now leading the way on a new scheme of work that will be rolled out both locally and nationally from September 2023 in collaboration with the Church of England.
Bola-Alysia Ayonrinde who is the National Education Lead for Racial Justice at The Church of England commented saying:
