BackYear 12 Visit to Bank of America
Selected students in Year 12 who are a part of the Sixth Form Pathways to Finance programme at Westminster City ventured beyond Palace Street on Thursday 15 June to one of the Big Four banking institution of the United States, Bank of America for an exciting event.
The event was aimed at getting students from diverse backgrounds to learn about careers in banking and finance and give them an opportunity to network with employees from various departments. Those in attendance were also given the chance to ask tailored questions to a panel of employees from diverse backgrounds on their career journey in the world of finance including the key factors to consider when applying for jobs.
Deven, Deputy Head Boy at Westminster City School shared his experience saying:
“I found the session very insightful, the panel and professionals from Bank of America were very open, sharing both their career and life experiences with us.
“The programme enabled us to explore different careers in Finance, such as trading currency derivatives, global transaction services and global markets.”
Within our Sixth Form, we offer four innovative pathways that help you gain work experience, receive mentoring, attend lectures and seminars, get interview practice, receive support with your university applications, and more.
