World Book Week at Westminster City School was an extraordinary success! Students and staff celebrated the magic of books and the power of reading. 

We were fortunate to welcome authors who facilitated a variety of workshops including John Wells III, an award-winning author of 'The Last Angel Warrior and The Heir of Ambrose', who delivered an engaging session and brought to life the first chapter of his book with the help of some of our talented students.

Students across all year groups were enthusiastic and engaged in the different activities that took place. Comments included the following:

“My favourite part of World Book Week is definitely the Open Mic session as it was the most entertaining and it was great to see the creative side of my peers.” Year 7 student, Rocco
 
“The Character Hunt was my favourite part of the week. I also enjoyed the Open Mic session because it gave us the chance to  communicate and be nice to one another.” Year 7 student, Joshua F
 
“I enjoyed everything that happened during World Book Week including the author visits, the lucky dip and the workshop. I learned about Fantasy and Sci-Fi which made me happy.” Year 7 student, Joshua B
