On Wednesday 26 June, specific Year 12 students who are interested in pursuing a career in Finance were invited to spend an entire day at an established fund management group, Jupiter Asset Management. Students engaged in a workshop which focused on the importance of financial literacy, heard from experts about the world of investment, how to save and the key to understanding financial goals and time horizons.

Barney, who is on the Pathways to Finance Programme at Westminster City School’s Sixth Form shared his experience about the day saying:

"It was a privilege to be invited into the offices of such a prestigious wealth management firm, only footsteps away from Westminster City School. The workshop was fantastic, and my particular highlight is the conversations that I was able to have with the employees at Jupiter Asset Management, including fund and fixed-income managers."

Year 12 student, Jamoi, who also visited Jupiter Asset Management said:

“I was given the amazing opportunity to attend the workshop event on financial literacy at Jupiter and I found it to be extremely insightful, offering a wealth of knowledge on financial confidence. Through engaging in discussions with the employees from different departments, I learned valuable strategies for managing my finances more effectively and I am also grateful for the advice we received from experts in the industry.”
