4 March 2025

On Monday 3 March, students in Years 10 and 11 at Westminster City School had the opportunity to hear from Adam Clyne, a seasoned social media professional and entrepreneur, who delivered an insightful talk about the future of work, social media, and the role of AI in shaping the next generation of careers. Students were left feeling inspired, curious, and more confident about the opportunities available to them.

Adam shared his personal journey, reflecting on his teenage years when the world of social media didn’t even exist. He discussed  that despite not knowing exactly what he wanted to do with his life, he found his path through hard work, curiosity, and adapting to the changing landscape of the professional world.

In his presentation, Adam highlighted the fast pace of change in industries like social media, due to the advancements in AI, and emphasised the importance of being proactive in shaping one’s future. He encouraged students to think beyond traditional career paths and to consider the new possibilities in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

"Thanks to Westminster City School for having me! Your students were a real credit to the school - smart, polite, well behaved and curious. I was glad to be able to meet with them all.”

Here’s what some students had to say about the experience:

"Adam’s talk helped me to understand more about what I want to pursue in the future. He also answered all my questions in a way that I was able to understand easily and see how I can take practical steps now to put myself in the best position to stand out amongst my peers."

"Adam explained in great detail about his background in education, the amazing companies he has worked with, and how he managed to build his company. I particularly appreciated hearing more about understanding the economy and how things work in the digital world. It was nice to hear from a successful entrepreneur that working isn’t only for the money. This has shifted my mindset, and I’m more determined to make sure that the career I choose is definitely something that I am passionate about."
